Job overview

The post holder will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Medical Devices Team, undertaking a wide range of administrative tasks.  This will include being a focal point of contact for HCT staff regarding the servicing and repair of medical equipment   Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust (HCT) is a dynamic and forward-thinking organisation. Person specification

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE standard or higher
  • Administrative /professional qualification ( NVQ Level 3 or equivalent secretarial qualification)
Desirable criteria
  • Educated to BTEC ONC level or higher in a technical subject

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Significant administration experience in a similar role. Previous working experience and knowledge of database management. Experience coordinating maintenance and repairs for disparate teams. Understanding of the role played by medical devices in the delivery of safe patient care. Knowledge and experience on types of medical devices used within community health services Arranging meetings and taking notes of meetings

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Ability to manage complex issues , to research and investigate and challenge information Ability to communicate with clinical teams at all levels. Able to communicate with external contractors Advanced knowledge and proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages ( MS Word , Excel , Power Point and Databases) Skills in problem solving/ decision making Excellent oral and written communication skills with attention to detail Good telephone manner, well developed influencing and negotiating skills Able to work to agreed levels of standard and output
