Join Our Team as a Receptionist at St Albans Urgent Care Hub!

Are you ready to make a difference? We’re looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Receptionist to join our team. You’ll be the friendly face that greets our patients and the have the organisational skills behind the scenes, ensuring everything runs smoothly.

Main duties of the job

  • Meeting and greeting patients and visitors.
  • Ensuring referrals are input correctly into Adastra appointment system.
  • Ensuring any patients selecting to walk in are asked a series of prescribed questions to eliminate any acute presentations and redirected as appropriate  
  • Handling internal and external enquires from all sources, in person, by telephone, email or post in a timely and polite manner 
  • Work alongside clinicians in the provision of patient care, responding to requests in a timely manner, whilst ensuring protocols and procedures are followed. 
  • Act as chaperone when required and oversee clinical examinations.
  • Assisting in protocols governing the opening and closing of the premises.
  • Adhering to Health & Safety regulations.
  • Ensure all departmental required checks are completed
  • Work collaboratively as a team member to achieve the objectives of the service
  • Make effective use of the IT system by ensuring the consistent and accurate entering of data.
  • Adhere to confidentiality guidelines and be aware of the data protection act.
  • Maintain a clean reception and waiting area.
