We are recruiting for a Weekend Ward Clerk who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, reliable and committed individual to join our busy Ward Clerk Team as a weekend Ward Clerk working across a few of our wards.
You will be expected to carry out various clerking, some data entry and reception duties. Duties also include: filing of hospital notes, meeting and greeting patients and relatives, liaising with doctors and specialty secretaries etc.
You will need to be computer literate and any previous reception duties would be an advantage. If you have experience of using Lorenzo and Ifit this would be very much desirable although full training will be provided to successful candidates on induction.
This role is weekends only 8am - 4pm, Saturday and Sunday.

Main duties of the job
You will be responsible for data entry of confidential information onto the computerised database. The data entry needs to be accurate so attention to detail is essential.
You will also be responsible for the provision of a high quality reception service by meeting and greeting visitors to the ward.
You will support the general running of the ward by being involved in general organisational and administrative activities.
To ensure that medical records are request on Trust Health recs database readily available for patients being admitted to the ward.
To update and maintain accurate complete patient data on the computer based system (Lorenzo/Nervecentre) and medical records database (IFIT).
To enter and retrieve data from all current Trust computer systems in place (EPR, Lorenzo/Nervecentre) to acceptable data quality standards.

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
