Job overview
We are recruiting for a ENT Nurse Specialist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The ENT Clinical Nurse Specialist provides expert nursing care, advice, and support to patients with ear, nose, and throat conditions, as well as their families and carers. This role involves leading nurse-led clinics, delivering advanced clinical assessments, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, continuous care across peri-operative and post-operative pathways.

Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will deliver effective nurse led clinics for ENT patients, using advanced assessment skills for examination, including full medical clerking, ordering investigations and using venepuncture skills.
You will be in a position to develop processes to improve access to services liaison with admission department and all ENT doctors.
The post holder will look to implement a research based approach to patient assessment and care planning.
You will also work collaboratively with other disciplines from multidisciplinary teams e.g. Consultant surgeons & units, anaesthetists and ENT Ward 11B to ensure that patients receive appropriate intervention and treatment and ensure the admission process is seamless.

Essential criteria
- NMC registration
- Demonstrate evidence of Continuing Professional Development (CPD), Presentation skills
Desirable criteria
- Possess a teaching qualification
- Evidence of post graduate study
- Ability to undertake audits and implement change. IT skills
- Understanding of ENT head and neck related conditions
- Relevant extended role and qualifications e.g. ears, nose and throat, head and neck course, pre-operative assessment course
