We are recruiting for a Urology Nurse Specialist who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
The Urology Clinical Nurse Specialist is a highly skilled nursing professional who is responsible for providing specialised care and support to patients with benign urological conditions.
This role involves collaboration with multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care, patient education, and utilize advanced clinical expertise to assess, diagnose, and implement evidence-based interventions tailored to individual patient's needs.
You will work alongside the other urology nurses, developing new and appropriate skills to provide excellent care to an ever-increasing case load. Development will be a key focus, and your willingness to learn new skills is essential.

Main duties of the job
As a Urology Nurse Specialist, you will engage in a variety of critical tasks focused on patient care and clinical support. Their responsibilities include:
The post holder will be working with patients who have benign urology conditions. The successful candidate will be supported to develop competence and skill in undertaking trial without catheters, difficult catheterisations, flow rates, bladder instillations, and Percutaneous Tibial Nerve Stimulation (PTNS).
Within your role, you will support in providing expert advice related to specific conditions or treatment pathways whilst focusing on improving patient care and service development. You'll assess patients holistically, plan, implement and evaluate evidence based care.
You will provide specialist advice to patient families and carers and the wider multidisciplinary team and carry out specialist nursing procedures in relation to benign urological patient.
You will also act in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Code of Conduct. Provide a specialist nursing service for patients with urological conditions who require support and treatment through continuum of care.
The successful candidate will have the ability to manage caseload of patients, delivering a high quality service which is linked to a high standard of patient care.
