This is an exciting opportunity to use your communication skills and initiative to strengthen HUC’s engagement across the health and social care landscape, while identifying opportunities to support new business growth.

We are seeking a positive, self-motivated Relationship Business Partner who can foster strong connections and enhance HUC’s visibility across our organisational footprint and into new areas of interest. Working closely with colleagues, you will develop and nurture long-term relationships, maintaining existing partnerships while identifying new ones. You will help promote HUC’s services, support integration to improve patient care, and ensure representation at all relevant system forums.

Key responsibilities include monitoring industry trends, conducting regular engagement audits, and providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership. You will also play a vital role in generating new business opportunities by identifying needs, developing commercial models, and achieving mutually beneficial outcomes that support HUC’s growth.

To succeed, you will be an excellent communicator with strong networking and influencing skills, commercially aware, and confident working independently or collaboratively.

Main duties of the job

 

o Being driven by making a positive difference to patient outcomes, especially for those at increased risk of inequalities.

o Contacting, developing and nurturing relationships with all system partners including Primary Care Networks, Integrated Care Boards, Integrated Care Partnerships, Health Care Partnerships, Local Authorities, Voluntary and Non-For-Profit Organisations.

o Becoming a key person at HUC and acting as a conduit between external and internal partners. Facilitating introductions between colleagues and stakeholders, connecting, and providing relationship support where required.

o Creating and managing HUCs Engagement Strategy and associated area plans, ensuring internal buy-in and continuity of engagement – Undertake research to identify challenges and pressure points within a system. Aligning engagement strategies with organisational (HUC), national, local and place-based priorities. Gather intelligence on NHSE, Government, Local Authorities, and ICBs strategic plans to create working documents.

o Generating leads and business openings that translate into real opportunities for HUC to grow both service provision and revenue.

o Building relationships and gathering intelligence, identify gaps and pressure points within the system to develop strategic solutions to offer target buyers / commissioners.

  • Educated to A-Level or equivalent / or proven knowledge acquired through training and experience
  • Experience of working in and current knowledge of the NHS
  • Strong project management, communication, administrative and organisational skills

Desirable criteria
