We are looking for an innovative, motivated and enthusiastic Registered Children's Nurse for a Senior Staff Nurse position on Children's Ward. This post is for a full time position and a part time position. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the trust values in all that they do and have experience in paediatric nursing. The role will require the successful candidate to work a range of long days, nights and weekends.
Children's ward is a 10 bedded children's ward with a co-located 3 bedded paediatric Assessment unit and a 4 bedded children's day ward.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the senior staff nurse team on children's ward. responsibilities of the role include:
- taking charge on shift
-assess, plan, implement and evaluate care of patients
- Link nurse role
- student assessor
- participate in management duties
- advocate for the needs of the ward
- Ensure safe staff levels taking in to account skill mix and safe staffing ratios.

Essential criteria
- Registered Nurse with live NMC Pin
- 1 st Degree or willingness to complete within 3 years of appointment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
- Teaching qualification (e.g. ENB 998 or mentorship qualification)
- Demonstrate strong leadership/managerial knowledge and skills

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
