The Kent and Canterbury  Hospital Outpatient Therapy Service has an  exciting opportunity for a motivated and caring individual to join its valued support workforce. 

As a Therapy Assistant Practitioner in the Outpatient Therapy Service you will provide care across the professions of physiotherapy, occupational therapy and orthotics through delegation and supervision of a registered Health Care Professional.

You will work in a busy department providing care to both adults and children and young people across sub-specialities of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, hand therapy and rheumatology.

Knowledge

  • Basic knowledge or interest of medical conditions and terminology, therapy techniques and interventions
  • To be aware of what OT and physio is

Qualifications

  • Basic literacy and numeracy skills
Desirable criteria
  • Relevant Qualification/HND, NVQ 3/Level 3 Diploma (AHP Support) or equivalent relevant qualification

  • Ability to motivate, facilitate and lead patients
  • Good communicator - verbally and written - with patients and others
  • Good time management and organisational skills
