We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Senior healthcare assistant to join our caring and progressive team in Canterbury and Ashford.

Our team delivers high-quality evidence-based care to people to support their sexual health needs.
You’ll be part of an enthusiastic and passionate team dedicated to keeping people in Kent and Medway safe and well, now and in later life, by providing contraception, treatment for sexually-transmitted infections, and advice and support to maintain healthy relationships.
You’ll provide sound clinical judgement and leadership to support our team to safely deliver patient-centred care, and consistently monitor quality and progress in a challenging but rewarding environment.

Qualifications, training and experience

- A Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF) Level 3. This could be an NVQ Level 3 apprenticeship, BTEC or equivalent international qualification in healthcare.
- Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C/ 4-9 or equivalent in English and Maths)
- Recent experience of healthcare/ working as a health care assistant gained through education, work experience or previous employment.
Knowledge and skills

- Sound communication skills in order to understand and communicate both verbally and in writing.
- You will need to have a customer focussed approach
- You will need to be able to be able to use IT systems and databases.
- Knowledge of up to date clinical practice by using up- to- date skills and adhering to evidence-based procedures and clinical effectiveness frameworks.
Working environment

- You will need to have the ability to travel across the organisation’s geographical patch in a timely manner.
