Job overview

We are excited to share that we have three newly created permanent band 5 SLT posts to support children and young people in these challenging times following the disruptions of a global pandemic.  The post  holders will be based one in each of our three sites across Dover, Folkstone and Ashford.   The  post will give you a mixed paediatric caseload according to your interests and the needs of the service in each locality.

Main duties of the job

We are a forward thinking innovative service and value the development of all staff within our integrated therapy team.

We offer in-service  integrated CPD as well as external training for critical and essential courses. We have department specialists who you can go to for advice and support and joint working as well as a supportive team on base.

You will be given a dedicated supervisor to help you with your preceptorship and have access to our Band 5 support group for peer mentoring. You will have regular line management to monitor your progress through your preceptorship and to provide support

Working for our organisation

The organisation is currently launching its new improvement focus in the form of an improvement system called We Care. The We Care System is a fundamentally new model that the organisation will be shifting to, it champions empowerment, promotes innovation and will bolster the connection and collaboration of staff throughout the organisation.
The We Care System utilises a multi-layered approach to improvement allowing staff to develop and produce a variety of ideas to combat the issues and problems that have been identified. The system allows for the deployment of:
• Strategic Initiatives which are long term projects and focus led and driven by our executive
• Trust Priority Improvement Projects which are short term projects allocated to a range of project teams made up from our staff groups focusing on impacting our True North metrics and breakthrough objectives 
• Ward Based OMS which delivers daily management and continuous improvement on the
