This is an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Children's Physiotherapist to join the South East Kent locality team, based at the Beacon in Folkestone.

As a Kent- wide Children's therapy service, there will be opportunities to work across the locality responding to service need and demand.
The Children's therapies team in South East Kent are an outcomes focussed service using a patient -reported outcome tool with children, young people and their families to understand what is important to them and what support they might need to achieve these outcomes.

You will be a part of a dynamic and innovative Children's therapies team who are committed to integrated working, Continuing Professional development and a robust model for Professional supervision.

You will have the knowledge and skills to be able to manage a mixed and varied caseload of  children and Young People across the age span 0-19 and provide specialist assessment, advice, intervention and  support for these children and their carers.

Main duties of the job

A specialist Physiotherapist will be responsible for delivering Physiotherapy to a complex and varied caseload of Children and Young people with physical needs and disabilities.

Using specialist knowledge and skills for Physiotherapy assessment and intervention in order to deliver  a safe and effective service that makes a difference to the lives of Children and Young People.

You will support the specialist clinical pathways and clinics delivered by the Physiotherapy service e.g  CPIPS, JAM, Orthotics and Specialist Equipment.

You will inspire and support the team of Physiotherapists and therapy assistants through supervision, mentoring and living the Trust Values.

You will support Children and Young people in a place- based model which could be in clinics, at home in Nursery or school, timely travel is essential so a valid driver’s license is required.
