Job overview

This role is responsible for supporting the administration function within the Trust’s Investigations Team. The postholder will support Trust investigators and other HR stakeholders by: attending investigation interviews and producing high quality notes, attending HR hearings in the capacity of administrative support, arranging meetings, booking rooms, updating Trust computer systems and completing other administrative duties as directed by the workforce investigation team leader.  

This is a key role within the People Team and is critical to supporting the Trust’s strategic approach to implementing a just and learning culture, informed by best practice.

A key part of the role is providing proactive support to staff members to support wellbeing and ensuring cases are managed to HR service level agreements.

This role will require travel across our various Trust sites.

Main duties of the job

Role Responsibilities:  

  • To ensure a responsive, efficient and quality administration to the Trust Investigations Team.
  • Type up statements, reports and prepare case management papers as required
  • Take notes/minutes at investigation meetings and formal hearings
  • Undertake general HR administration including but not limited to the updating and maintenance of relevant HR systems and databases, administration, generating letters / documentation, preparing notes and actions of meetings, and arrangements for meetings/hearings, including room bookings, as and when required.
  • Undertake and assist with audits and projects where appropriate.
  • Undertake the creation and distribution of standard IT reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) in relation to the Investigations Team activity and the wider Employee Relations team, as necessary.
  • Review and assist with drafting standard HR operating procedures and policies where required.
  • To manage workload and prioritise important tasks
  • Commplete data entry and case tracking as required. 
  •         Manage e-mail inboxes as required with the role.

Essential criteria
  • Previous experience as an administrator in a busy department, preferably within a Human Resource function.
Desirable criteria
  • Experience of NHS/public sector working practises
  • CIPD level 3
