An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time Medical Secretary position within the Ear, Nose and Throat Department.
You will be experienced and motivated and have an excellent range of PA and Secretarial skills; ideally including a solid knowledge of medical terminology - though this is not essential and accurate audio typing skills.
You must have a flexible approach to the needs of the service and demonstrate excellent typing, communication, organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills, a good telephone manner and a caring attitude. You should have the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner.
If you are successful and invited to interview there will be a short typing test within your interview.
Main duties of the job
You should be self-motivated with the ability to work in a busy and pressured environment. You should be able to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills, along with a flexible approach to duties.
You should also hold relevant secretarial or audio typing qualifications and have previous secretarial or PA experience. Knowledge and experience within the Health sector would be beneficial but not essential.

Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is a large acute hospital Trust in the county of Kent.
The Trust provides a full range of general hospital services and some areas of specialist complex care to around 760,000 people living in the south part of West Kent and the north part of East Sussex.
The Trust’s core catchment areas are Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells and their surrounding boroughs. We work from two main clinical sites: Maidstone Hospital and Tunbridge Wells Hospital at Pembury. Tunbridge Wells Hospital opened in 2011 and provides single rooms with en-suites for all in-patients – the first of its kind in the country.
We employ more than 7,000 full and part-time staff in a huge range of clinical and non-clinical roles across both of our hospital sites.
