PFI Liaison Officer

Job overview

As Staff Liaison Officer for the Estates and Facilities team, the role is focused on building and maintaining positive relationships between the PFI and Maidstone and Tunbridge Well NHS Trust. They act as a bridge, facilitating communication, coordination, and collaboration ensuring an already strong relation works together to improve relations and drive efficiencies. The individual will ensure smooth information flow, address issues, and help different teams work together effectively ensuring the Trust reputation is held in the highest regards. 

Please note this role is currently only being advertised to staff members who are currently working within the Kent and Medway ICS.

Main duties of the job

· To attend technical service meetings, including formation of action logs, the communication of actions and support in completing outstanding actions.

· To collate, understand and interpret complex information and present the information via enhanced Word, PowerPoint and other IT systems. 

· Documenting detailed policy documents, processes and presentations.

· To assist with the standardisation of systems, set up of audits and other central services. 

· Drafting process and procedures, which will include flow diagrams.

· To undertake a range of tasks that require the exercise of initiative to a significant level within defined limits and includes secretarial and organisational skills

· To work autonomously while at the same time demonstrating a positive approach to multi-disciplinary working.

· To understand and communicate confidential, sensitive and complex information to all levels of the Trust

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree in a relevant qualification i.e. building services of facilities management or equivalent gained through knowledge/experience in a similar role

Experience/Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Desirable criteria
  • Evidence of previous posts held of a similar level, ideally within the NHS but not exclusively.
  • Knowledge/Experience in Facilities Management (preferably hard services/estates)
  • PFI environment

Skills

Essential criteria
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Ability to work without supervision.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of maintenance, minor/small works in line with compliance regulations.
  • Able to prioritise demands against resources.
  • Able to develop objectives in line with the corporate / local business plans
