Job overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Receptionist/Cashier to join our Estates & Facilities Admin Team to provide confidential, accurate reception and cashier service at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospitals. The post requires a good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office packages and training will be provided for any Trust specific systems. Good numeracy skills and previous experience in carrying out simple accounting duties is essential, together with excellent communication, organisation and time management skills. The successful candidate will need to have a flexible approach with an ability to prioritise their workload

Main duties of the job

Working as part of the Reception  and Cashier team, you will provide a first point of contact for all visitors to the hospital. You will make a positive contribution towards an atmosphere that ensures all visitors feel welcome, leaving them with a positive view of the Trust.

All team members will be expected to cover both reception and cashier duties, ensuring that these services are available at all times.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
  • To be numerate and have the ability to carry out simple accounting duties
Desirable criteria
  • Accountancy skills

Experience/Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Level of knowledge/specialist knowledge required as a minimum, NVQ or RSA level 3
  • Required training/courses undertake
Desirable criteria
  • Previous experience of working in a healthcare environment

Skills

Essential criteria
  • IT literate and able to prepare simple word documents
