We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Advanced Support Worker to join our caring and progressive team in Margate.

Main duties of the job
Our therapy teams provide support to people who need extra help to allow them to get home safely following an illness or operation. We work in a range of setting including patient’s homes, community hospitals and clinics.
As an Advanced Support Worker you will support patients to follow a care plan and provide feedback to the rest of the team on their progress. You will use your knowledge and expertise to provide a safe environment which supports patients to reach their therapy goals.
As an Advanced Support Worker you will work as part of a team to keep patients safe and well in Margate. You will use your clinical judgment to support evidence-based care planning and make sure that people who use our services have a good experience.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Evidence of Foundation Degree Level study (Level 5) or willingness to complete
- Functional Skills at Level 2 (Literacy and numeracy/ GCSE grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths)
Desirable criteria
- Mentorship / Coaching qualification
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstratable experience as a Senior Healthcare worker
- Experience of working as part of a team
- Experience with the use of Microsoft Office and a variety of IT packages including electronic record keeping
Desirable criteria
- Experience of community hospital environment
- Prior therapy work with patients that have neurological conditions.
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Awareness of professional issues and recent developments in the NHS
- Knowledge of up to date general clinical practice

- Ability to communicate with a wide range of people both written and verbally
- Ability to organise own work
