Main duties of the job
What will the role involve?
Completing your SCPHN qualification School Nursing
Your daily activities will be varied to include:
- Completing comprehensive health needs assessments to understand strengths, needs and levels of support
required and make timely onward referrals - Managing a caseload of children and young people, prioritising need and maintaining high-quality, person-
centred care - Delivering personalised packages of care e.g. healthy weight, toileting, behaviour/ parenting, emotional
health and well-being. - Promoting public health initiatives. to support Healthy lifestyles for Children and Young people and their
families. - Providing Support in the daily management of Young people's texting service
- Focusing on the high-impact areas of the Healthy Child Programme, ensuring your practice aligns with
national priorities and local guidance - Safeguarding children and families, working collaboratively with partner agencies to identify concerns, take
appropriate action, and contribute to robust safeguarding plans. - Leading on QI projects

- Level 6 Degree or equivalent qualification, or equivalent knowledge acquired through experience plus a diploma in nursing.
