Main duties of the job
We are looking for a passionate and dedicated paediatric nurse to join our team on Hedgehog Ward, a 23-bed General Paediatric Unit. As part of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional care to children and their families in an inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, effective and safe nursing care to children.
- Work collaboratively with a dynamic team of healthcare professionals.
- Support children and families through their healthcare journey.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance your skills.
Opportunities for Growth:
- Work across various paediatric services, including Inpatient Ward, Day Case & Ambulatory Units, and Paediatric Emergency Departments across two sites.
- Secondment opportunities to gain experience in different paediatric settings.

All successful applicants will be required to complete our corporate trust induction once a start date had been agreed.
Following your corporate induction you will be expected to attend the Trust’s 2-week Induction Programme for RNs, NAs, RMs, ODPs and Paramedics. The programme is full-time (please email [email protected] if this is problematic) and will involve travel to both Trust sites. The programme includes supernumerary shifts in the clinical area, classroom-based sessions and e-learning.
