An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Administrative Assistant/Support Secretary in the Cardiology department. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic highly motivated, hardworking individual to join a busy, friendly and dedicated team.

Main duties of the job

·         Accurate data entry of all patient records  Scanning documents to patients’ electronic records. Open and distribute incoming post and prepare outgoing post.   

         Manage general enquiries.

·        Supporting the team to ensure all clinical correspondence is typed within the Trust’s agreed timeframes and proactively take forward any instructions from the medical team including booking outpatient appointments and confirming any investigations necessary are requested

  • Educated to GCSE level with A-C grades in English and Maths or equivalent qualifications
Desirable criteria
  • Typing/word processing

Skills and experience

  • Broad knowledge of basic administration duties

  • Ability to prioritise workload and use own initiative
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Competent communication skills
Desirable criteria
  • Previous NHS experience
  • Knowledge of RTT 18 week pathway
