Rotational Physiotherapist - Band 5 - 37.5 hours - Permanent
This position requires the post holder(s) to be able to travel (often at short notice) between diverse clinical and non-clinical environments and bases, including patient’s homes, GP clinics, primary care facilities, community centres, hospitals, office spaces and residential/nursing homes, so access to reliable transport is essential. There is also a regular expectation to independently transport bulky and/or heavy equipment. The post holder will be expected to complete four individual AM and four individual PM clinical contacts a day, at separate addresses, to maintain provision of our services.
We are looking for a full-time physiotherapist to join our band 5 community rotations, working in friendly and welcoming teams that are based across the community in Tameside. The successful applicant(s) will rotate between our inpatient rehabilitation service at the Stamford Unit, the Community Physiotherapy & Occupational Therapy team, the Integrated Urgent Crisis Team, the Community Neurological Rehabilitation Team and MSK outpatient clinics.
You will need a BSc/MSc/Diploma in Physiotherapy and professional registration with the HCPC, or be an undergraduate student nearing course completion.
Some of our therapy services operate a 7-day service so you will be required to work weekends, late/early shifts and bank holidays.
Main duties of the job
To provide skilled physiotherapy assessment, treatment and advice to patients in a variety of community settings that include; Musculoskeletal Outpatients, Inpatient Intermediate care, Integrated Urgent Care Team (IUCT), Community Physiotherapy and Community Neuro Rehab Team.
To undertake a role in the assessment, diagnosis and formulation of physiotherapy treatment plans.
