To complete BTEC in Cardio-Respiratory or equivalent

To support qualified staff, to work well as part of the wider multidisciplinary team.

Main duties of the job

Perform ECGs

Independently fit, download and analyse holters

Independently fit and download Blood Pressure

Assist in exercise tolerance testing and tilt testing

Support Loop recorder implants, interpret downloads and report the findings.

Accurate documentation

Team work

Complete BTEC

The Cardiology Department provides regular departmental meetings with training attached.  In house training and competencies will be provided.

We are a large diagnostic team providing a variety of investigations.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Complete BTEC - you will be responsible for keeping up to date with your college requirements and updating your work based assessor regularly. Will be required to attend college which could require driving.

Essential criteria
  • Good Communication
  • Ability to prioritise clinical and educational work load
  • Understanding of Cardio-Respiratory Science
  • GCSE Maths or Equivalent
  • GCSE English or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • Cardiology or Respiratory experience
  • Basic Life Support
  • Ability to talk about an investigation in Cardiology or Respiratory
