Job overview
The post holder will support the Trust to achieve RTT Performance standards. They will assist in RTT data collection for patients on clinical pathways and carry out data quality checks and data validation to ensure we capture accurate waiting times. The post holder will offer advice and support on RTT rules and support the understanding of the RTT measures and standard. The postholder will assist the Deputy Directorate manager with management of the the departments longest waiting patients and other operational actions.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Deputy Directorate Manager and admin and clerical staff in data validation and support the operational team.
This role will support the Directorates of Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS).
The role will involve daily contact with both clinical, nursing and admin and clerical colleagues across the Directorates.
Training and Support will be provided upon commencing in post.

Person specification
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Business Admin and/or customer services or equivalent level of working experience
- GCSE Grade C or above in English Language and Math's or equivalent level of literacy and numeracy
Desirable criteria
- ECDL or equivalent Microsoft -application
- NHS RTT E-Learning modules
Experience
Essential criteria
- Extensive use of Microsoft Office including Outlook, word, excel
- Proven ability to work to deadlines
Desirable criteria
- NHS experience in an administrative or clerical environment where RTT is applicable
- Good in-depth working knowledge and operational use of NHS IT systems specifically around patient pathways and RTT rules
Knowledge and Skills
Essential criteria
- Good communication skills ability to liaise with staff at all levels clearly and effectively both on telephone and face to face
- Ability to analyse data problems, to understand their causes and to resolve them
- Ability to prioritise and handle conflicting work demands
Desirable criteria
- Working knowledge of Access policy
- Knowledge of RTT Consultant - lead waiting times guidance
