Job overview
We are seeking to appoint exceptionally motivated band 5 Rotational Physiotherapist to join our friendly and dynamic teams on our Rotational scheme at ELHT NHS Trust.
You will join our speciality Physiotherapy teams and rotate every 4 months across the service, with experience including Acute Medicine, CCU / ICU surgery, Orthopaedics, Community, Hospital in patients and Integrated Community Teams, MSK, Rheumatology, Stroke, Neurology and Paediatrics. The rotations are designed so that there is enough time to develop and gain clinical experience within each clinical service area.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team are essential. We are also seeking candidates with a flexible approach and the ability to respond to the demands of rapidly changing clinical environments. It is essential you are a car driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Main duties of the job
You will be expected to work as an autonomous practitioner in the assessment and management of patients, liaise with colleagues and other professionals and have effective time management skills.
The successful candidate should demonstrate clear clinical reasoning and be able to explain their decisions and actions. You must demonstrate evidence of recent learning and examples of continued professional and clinical development. You should demonstrate the six key elements of Care, Compassion, Courage, Competence, Communicating effectively and Commitment as well as delivering the Trust, Divisional and Departmental objectives.
The post holder will take part in out of hours on-call rota, for which post graduate training and a buddy system will be provided. This post will be subject to 7 day working between extended hours from 08.00 until 20.00. It is essential you are a car driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes and ensure you clearly indicate this within your application.

ACCOUNTABILITY
To the Directors of Therapies and IMPReS
Staff will cover the Band 5 rotations across ELHT. This will involve travel across all sites and peripheral clinic settings. To work hours as required over 7 days on each rotation.
JOB SUMMARY
To be responsible for the assessment, treatment and management of patients within an assigned area of the physiotherapy service across ELHT.

Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Diploma / Degree in Physiotherapy
- Health Professional Council Registration
- Member of the Chartered society of Physiotherapy
- Demonstrate ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrate experience in all core areas of Physiotherapy (MSK, Community, Acute)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Experience
Essential criteria
- Demonstrate ability to use a variety of assessments and interventions for a range (examples) of patients
- Demonstrate use of effective communication (examples)
- Awareness of local and national policy, clinical practice standards and guidelines
- Ability to travel between sites/access to a vehicle
Desirable criteria
- IT skills - including proficient use of office 365 and other IT systems
