Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. We employ more than 6,500 staff, have approximately 900 beds and have a planned turnover in excess of £410m for 2017/2018.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced infection prevention nurse to join an award winning team as a Senior IPN.

The focus on infection prevention has never been greater and the successful candidate will be expected to provide specialist infection prevention advice and education across the organisation, both in the acute and community settings.

This is a new permanent position. We are looking to recruit a highly motivated infection prevention nurse to join an experienced and friendly team that is expanding due to significant recent investment by the trust.

The post holder will work with the Lead Nurses to ensure that the service meets the demands of our patients and staff both now during what is an unprecedented time and in the months and years to come.

Consideration will also be given to staff  who have no post registration IPC qualifications but are willing to undertake the relevant educational programme.
