Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is ideally situated just a forty five minute drive from Manchester. The Trust provides services to the 440,000 residents of Blackpool, Fylde & Wyre and North Lancashire, as well as specialist tertiary care for Cardiac and Haematology patients. Medical Records Apprentice Clerk
Duties include: Health Record Folder Filing & Retrieval and Outpatient Reception Duties.
Based at Victoria Hospital.
As part of the Apprenticeship you will be expected to undertake an Apprenticeship level 2 in Business and Administration Qualification.
Due to the current Government eligibility criteria for Government funded apprenticeship schemes, we are currently only able to accept applications from candidates who have been resident in the UK for the last 3 years, and who are not already in any form of Government funded education.
If successful after Interview, a BKSB assessment must be completed within 2 weeks of receiving the conditional offer to ascertain you are eligible to undertake an apprentice programme.
The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
