We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Assistant Psychologist to join the Children and Young People’s Mental Health Service (CYPMH) Fylde and Wyre. F&W CYPMH is a multi-disciplinary Mental Health service. We aim to deliver high quality innovative psychological solutions with service users through consultation, parent workshops, and individual, systemic/family therapy and group work.

Main duties of the job

Your role within the service will be supporting the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care to children, young people, and their families.
The role will involve contributing to assessment, supporting the delivery of evidence-based and manualised interventions, and promoting engagement with services.

The CYPMH services within LSCFT are undergoing a transformation programme to implement the THRIVE model as a response to the Five Year Forward View. To meet this forward thinking view we are specifically looking for practitioners with a modern mind-set and an enthusiasm for the new model.

Candidates must be able to meet the travel requirements of the role and applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Whitegate Drive Health Centre is well located for the M55 motorway and bus routes and there is free parking available 5 minutes from the building.

Working for our organisation

We actively challenge discrimination and welcome applications from all, regardless of age, disability (including those with experience of accessing or caring for someone who has accessed mental health or learning disability services), ethnicity, gender, religion, belief, or sexual orientation.

Our aim is to reflect the communities we serve, so we particularly encourage applications from under-represented groups. If you’d like to discuss your application, please ask.

We also welcome individuals with lived experience relevant to the role or service area, as your insight brings authenticity to our services.

LSCFT support flexible working, we believe that a positive work/life balance benefits NHS employees through improved health and wellbeing. We would consider working patterns such as term time, part time, compressed hours and flexi-time.
