Ward Manager 

C2 ward- Haematology

This is an opportunity to lead a team within complex care/haematology in the Medicine Division.

You will need strong clinical skills in the ability to care for the acutely unwell patient.  You will have strong personal qualities of resilience, flexibility and adaptability.

Main duties of the job

The ward is critical to a number of Trust targets so the post will challenge your operational organisational skills.  We are looking for  individuals who display strong inspirational leadership skills.

The role will involve leading an established and successful team and there is a need to continue to develop the team.  

We are therefore looking to recruit a motivated, hardworking nurse leader who has excellent communication skills and a passion for their role and improving patient care. When working clinically we expect you to perform with passion and drive, provide clinically excellent care, and be supportive to patients, relatives, and other MDT members.  As a registered nurse you will be expected to promote and lead the delivery of an excellent standard of patient centred care in a supported environment.

Medicine Division

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is an integrated provider of acute, intermediate and community health care serving the population of Bolton. The Division contains the busiest single site Emergency Department in Greater Manchester and has inpatient wards providing acute medicine, rehabilitation and specialist medicine services.  It provides a range of specialist out-patient and community services and is committed to providing excellent clinical performance and patient care.
