We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Registered Dental Nurse to join our team in the Department of Special Care Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals.
Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is one of the largest trusts in the North West.
We are an expanding department with 3 Consultants in Special Care
Dentistry, 1 consultant in Paediatric Dentistry, Senior Dental Officers and a Dental Therapist, accepting referrals from across Lancashire and South Cumbria, providing a range of oral care for patients with complex disabilities and impairments.
These include medically compromised patients, anxious paediatric and adult patients, patients with physical and learning disabilities and patients with mental ill health.
We work closely with other dental specialties at the Trust including Restorative Dentistry, Orthodontics and the Oral and Maxillo Facial team.
A range of treatment modalities are available including sedation techniques and General Anaesthesia.
The service is provided across several sites, including Chorley Hospital, Royal Preston Hospital and our outreach clinic at Skelmersdale.
A post qualification in Sedation is desirable
Post qualification in Radiography would be desirable.

You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
The postholder will have regular contact with vulnerable people and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
