Job overview
Applications are invited for a Band 3 Team Administrator to provide a comprehensive secretarial administration and information service across the Specialist Perinatal Mental Health Team, and coordinate their activities with other members of the administration team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.
The post holder will be aligned to the SPCMHT, covering the North Lancs & South Cumbria locality based at East Barn in Lancaster, but is required to provide ad hoc remote cross cover to other administrative teams within the service as directed by their Administration Line Manager to ensure continuity of service provision.
Evidence of good general education is essential together with good communication skills and excellent organisation ability. Knowledge of working with the NHS will be an advantage and computer skills with essential.
The successful candidate with require a mature, flexible approach and the ability to work within a busy team. They will be expected to use their own initiative and work unsupervised to ensure the effective coordination of duties.
Main duties of the job
• Receive allocate and despatch internal /external mail in line with the Trust policy.
• To be the first point of contact for the unit/department providing a comprehensive customer service and enquiry provision to internal and external customers of the Trust.
• Provide a comprehensive administrative service which will include minute taking, cover compilation of reports and other correspondence on behalf of the team manager and other members of the team, ensuring a high standard in accordance with Trust standards.
• To create and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels, internal and external across the whole health economy.
• Work collaboratively with the appropriate management teams and other departments including clinicians to ensure that the appropriate leads are notified in the case of matters of urgency and dealt with in a timely manner.
