Job overview
The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service across the Community & Wellbeing Network, coordinating their activities with other members of the Business Administration Team to ensure that an efficient and confidential service is provided.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be based at Ribbleton Clinic, but will be required at times to work flexibly between sites, as directed by their administration line manager. This ensures continuity of a quality service provision. The post holder will also be required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the Networks administrative service.
Working for our organisation
The post holder will have a good standard of education with qualifications in English, Maths and Word Processing. Excellent computer skills are required. One of the primary purposes of this role is to provide a comprehensive administration service to the clinical teams in the Central and West locality; therefore general administration experience is essential in order to provide a professional service to the clinical teams.
The post holder will also provide a telephony service for the clinical teams and therefore experience of dealing with people is essential, as are excellent interpersonal and customer care skills. It is essential that the post holder has good organisational and communication skills. The post holder will be required to work both as part of a team and on their own initiative
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Under the leadership of the Admin Team Leader, the post holder will provide support and day to day supervision of Clerical Officers and act up on behalf of the Administration Team Leader as required.
Supporting the Admin Team Leader, the post holder will provide 1-1 supervision to a number of admin and clerical staff.

Essential criteria
- 5 GCE’s grade C or above in including Mathematics and English Language or equivalent
- NVQ 3 / RSA Grade 3 or equivalent
Knowledge
Essential criteria
- Good working knowledge of all Microsoft office applications e.g. Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint
- Knowledge of effective admin systems and ability to apply to work
- Working in a customer services environment, dealing with individuals face to face and by telephone
- Administration of meetings – organising, minute taking.
- Knowledge and awareness of working with people making health related changes

The postholder will have access to vulnerable people in the course of their normal duties and as such this post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 (Amendment) (England and Wales) Order 2020 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
