Job overview

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for an enthusiastic Dietitian to join our team to work in the area of  Diabetes alongside world class multidisciplinary team colleagues.

You will be based predominantly at the Minerva centre in Preston with our community dietetic team but will also deliver a range of diabetic clinics alongside the highly specialized Diabetes Dietitian  at both the Royal Preston Hospital and at the Chorley and South District General Hospital sites.

Although you will be an autonomous practitioner, you will be required to work closely with the diabetes specialist nurse team, the diabetologists, nutrition team  and other AHP colleagues.

Our Dietetics team is strongly committed to team working, maintaining high standards of care, innovation and continued professional development. We support student training and provide P1, P2 and P3 placements.

This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and skilled Dietitian to further develop their skills in clinical dietetics.

Main duties of the job

This role provides the opportunity to develop knowledge and skills in managing more complex patients with the support of the  diabetes MDT team .

You will be involved in the delivery of a wide range of  Diabetic clinics including Antenatal Diabetic clinics, Type 1 and type 2 complex diabetic clinics as well as domiciliary visits and group education work.

Working for our organisation

You would join a team of over 45 experienced and forward-thinking Dietitians, Dietetic support workers, Assistant Practitioners  and Administrative staff who work both in the  acute hospital setting and in the community setting. We are committed to the continuing professional development of our team and will provide you with structured competency-based learning and development opportunities as part of your role, including opportunity for service development, group education and clinical audit experience. We also encourage peer-supervision and are devoted to your wellbeing, with a number of Trust initiatives available to support staff.

We invite you to come and join our team for this exciting opportunity!
