Job overview
We are looking for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Neurology who will be based at Royal Preston Hospital. This post is a fixed-term post, initially for 12 months.
You will be expected to participate in the neurology registrar on-call rota. It will enable you to gain experience in clinical neurology in a supportive environment. Significant clinical learning opportunities are available, with weekly clinical and academic meetings, case presentations and frequent clinical teaching. Although this is not a formal training post, you will be allocated an educational supervisor.
Main duties of the job
The duties of this post may be summarised as:

To work with the neurology education lead to deliver high quality neurology education to medical students from University of Manchester, based at Royal Preston Hospital.

Undertake up to three outpatient clinics a week at Royal Preston Hospital and peripheral hospitals, under consultant supervision.

Management of inpatients in the regional neurology ward based at Royal Preston Hospital.

Essential criteria
- Full GMC Registration and Licence to Practice
- MBBS or equivalent
- MRCP
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of neurology at CMT level or equivalent.
- Commitment to working as part of a clinical team.
- Teaching skills for both medical and paramedical disciplines
Applicant requirements
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
