Voluntary Role

Job overview

Join the dynamic team at Baby Beat Shop and become the heartbeat of our bustling community! As a Shop Volunteer, you'll be more than just a team member—you'll be the friendly face that brightens the day of everyone who walks through our doors.

As a Baby Beat Shop Volunteer, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to patients, staff, and visitors alike. Join us in creating a welcoming environment where every interaction leaves a lasting impression. Let's make a difference together!

Please Note - If you have made an application on a different volunteer vacancy, this will be considered across all voluntary roles at the Trust. You will not need to make another application.

Main duties of the job

You will be the first point of contact, greeting customers with a warm smile and a helpful attitude. Your welcoming demeanour sets the tone for a positive and inviting atmosphere, making every visit a delightful experience.

But that's just the beginning. Your role isn't just about spreading cheer; it's about keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes too. From stocking shelves with a diverse range of products to keeping the shop impeccably organized, you'll ensure that our customers can easily find what they need, when they need it.

And let's not forget about managing payments. Whether it's handling cash with precision or processing card transactions with ease, you'll be the master of financial transactions, providing customers with a seamless and secure checkout experience.

Working for our organisation

We have 200 fantastic volunteers working hard to support the services that we deliver to our patients.  As a Trust, we help look after 370,000 people in our local area & give specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria.

Volunteering with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.

You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done.  You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills.

You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold & help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care and enhancing their experience which means our volunteers are pivotal and something really to be proud of.
