This is an exciting opportunity to join our Corporate Nursing Division and play a key role in driving quality, improvement, and excellence across the Trust. As Project Coordinator, you will be at the heart of our accreditation, quality, and patient experience programmes, supporting initiatives that directly influence the safety, outcomes, and experiences of our patients.

You will work closely with the Corporate Quality Senior Nursing Team, providing high‑level project management, coordination, and organisational support to ensure that our systems, processes, and governance structures run smoothly and effectively. This is a dynamic and varied role where no two days are the same. You’ll use your advanced administrative, analytical, and project skills to help shape and deliver work that truly matters.

Main duties of the job

In this fast‑paced and rewarding role, you will play a key part in shaping the quality of care delivered across the Trust. As Project Coordinator, you will provide project management, coordination, and high‑level administrative support to the Corporate Quality Senior Nursing Team, contributing to programmes that directly influence patient safety, experience, and outcomes.

A central part of the role involves gathering, analysing, and preparing high‑quality data and evidence for accreditation visits. Your work will highlight strengths, identify improvements, and drive actions that enhance care across our wards. You will develop robust systems, produce clear reports and audit tools, and ensure teams are well prepared for quality reviews.

You will manage multiple projects, coordinate key meetings and events, maintain accurate records, and ensure timely follow‑up of actions. Working autonomously, you will prioritise your workload, support electronic quality monitoring systems, and build strong working relationships across the organisation.

Alongside this, you will provide essential PA‑level support to senior nursing leaders, ensuring effective diary management, communication, and governance. You will also support junior administrative staff, contributing to a positive, high‑performing team environment.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic and forward‑thinking Corporate Nursing Division, where your work will directly influence the quality of care, patient experience, and outcomes across our Trust. As Project Coordinator, you will become a central part of the engine that drives our accreditation and quality improvement programmes, helping clinical teams showcase excellent practice while identifying meaningful opportunities for change.

You will take the lead on coordinating a wide range of quality and accreditation activities, ensuring each project runs smoothly, on time, and with the highest standards of governance. A key element of your role will be gathering, analysing, and preparing high‑quality data for accreditation visits —work that enables the Trust to understand how we are performing, celebrate success, and identify improvements that truly make a difference to patients and families.

Your responsibilities will include designing and maintaining robust systems and processes, creating audit tools, producing comprehensive reports, and supporting the use of our electronic quality monitoring systems. You’ll coordinate key meetings and events, ensure actions are followed through, and provide the organisational structure that allows our corporate nursing functions to operate efficiently and effectively.

This is a varied and fast‑paced role requiring excellent prioritisation skills. You will manage several workstreams at once, working autonomously while collaborating with colleagues across all levels of the organisation. You will act as a key communication link, building effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, often dealing with sensitive or confidential information.

In addition to your project responsibilities, you will provide high‑level PA and organisational support to the Corporate Quality Senior Nursing Team,  managing diaries, coordinating correspondence, preparing meeting papers, and helping to ensure that the governance framework supporting patient safety and quality runs seamlessly. You will also offer day‑to‑day supervision and support to junior administrative staff, helping build a cohesive, responsive, and high‑performing team.

Qualifications

Essential criteria
  • Degree in Business Studies/or equivalent qualification / experience
  • Excellent typing/word processing skills minimum RSA III or equivalent
Desirable criteria
  • European Computer Driving Licence or equivalent Shorthand/Audio skills or equivalent

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience of working as a PA and administrative support
  • Evidence of Project Co-ordination and/or Facilitation
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Experience of working in busy complex enterprise
  • Experience in supporting committees and organising meetings
Desirable criteria
  • Knowledge of NHS both locally and nationally
  • Experience of line management including setting objectives and conducting appraisals
