Consultant Cardiologist - Electrophysiology

NHS Medical & Dental: Consultant

We are delighted to be able to offer an opportunity for a highly motivated, ambitious individual to join our team in the position of Consultant Cardiologist with an interest in Electrophysiology at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.

UHL’s Cardiac Unit is a major UK provider at secondary, tertiary, and quaternary level and benefits from on-site cardiac surgery, ECMO, structural intervention, and Leicester’s National Institute for Health Research Biomedical Research Centre.

We have a strong national reputation for clinical and research excellence in Electrophysiology and we run advanced training and live courses here. There are 4 EP consultants supported by a team of arrhythmia nurses.  We carry out the full range of EP procedures, including complex ablations, VT ablation, and cryoablation, with support of state of the art equipment. We are supported by strong pacing and heart failure services. Subcutaneous ICD and leadless pacing is established here.

The successful applicant will be based at the Glenfield Hospital site and will support the Cardiology team in providing high quality, efficient electro-physiology service for emergency and non-emergency cases.
