An opportunity has arisen within the University of Leicester-Financial Reporting Team for Estates & Facilities for a Financial Management Assistant on a permanent contract.
The role will:-
•Involve ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting systems in relation to run rate costs of service delivered, reconciliations where necessary, calculating accruals and prepayments and inputting journals and forecasts.to support and
• Assist the Management Accountants of Services in ensuring that budgets and expenditure are accurately reported in the General Ledger and that month end reporting is carried out in line with procedures and timetables.
• Provide financial advice and support to budget holders as required.
• Liaise with Operational Teams within Estates & Facilities to understand costs of services and provide comments against general ledger variances, working with accounts payable and accounts receivable to support and resolve queries.
We are looking for an individual who has NHS financial management experience and is working towards obtaining a professional qualification. The individual must have excellent IT skills and previous experience of using Oracle E Financials is useful.
The individual will need to possess excellent communication skills and be capable of developing strong working relationships with staff at all levels and in multiple organisations.
