We are looking for a registered Radiographer or Technologist to join our busy and friendly Nuclear Medicine team. The section works across two sites; the Leicester Royal Infirmary and the Glenfield Hospital, with staff rotating between sites as the service requires.

This is a full time post for 37.5 hours a week, working between 8 am – 7 pm in general Nuclear Medicine or 6:30 am – to 2:30 pm for staff rotating into Radio-pharmacy, Monday to Friday.

The service has 4 gamma cameras across the sites, two with hybrid CT and one solid state camera, and covers a wide range of diagnostic imaging tests. The section also has a gamma counter for GFR measurement. The Leicester Royal Infirmary is a large Oncology centre, and the department delivers a range of molecular Radiotherapy treatments, including Ra-223 Xofigo, Lu-177 oxodotreotide and I-131 for ablation and overactive thyroid. There is an onsite Radiopharmacy at Leicester Royal Infirmary.  The Glenfield Hospital is a specialist cardiac centre, and cardiac stress tests and imaging are performed exclusively on the solid state camera there. The successful applicant will carry out a wide range of duties appropriate to grade.

It is essential the successful candidate enjoy working with people, have excellent communication skills, enjoy being part of a busy team and are hard-working, adaptable and flexible, with a strong patient focus. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain registration through CPD, attend conferences / training as appropriate and present work where applicable.
