The Gastroenterology team at Pilgrim Hospital is extremely busy seeing patients both on an outpatient and inpatient basis. The department consists of 4 Consultants and specialist nurses.
The Specialty Co-Ordinator is vital to the smooth running of the Department not only providing an efficient administrative and secretarial service to the Consultants and their teams but line managing the medical secretaries and secretarial assistants in the team.
You will need GCSE Grade C in Maths and English along with typing skills to RSA III or equivalent. You need a sound administration background and be enthusiastic and committed to providing an excellent service to the Department.
