We have a vacancy on Scotter ward at John Coupland Hospital in Gainsborough, one of four community hospital sites across Lincolnshire, providing nurse-led inpatient care. Our care pathways include both rehabilitation and palliative care.
Main duties of the job
What are we offering?
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate that they are able to meet the essential criteria in the person specification and can provide evidence of significant experience in the treatment of long-term conditions, frailty, and palliation. Candidates will also hold a non-medical prescribing qualification.
We are looking for people who can demonstrate the right values and behaviours and have excellent leadership and communications skills.
As part of a team, you will work as an autonomous practitioner, with support from our ward medical practitioners.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Successful candidates will need to demonstrate that they are able to meet the essential criteria in the person specification and can provide evidence of significant experience in the treatment of long-term conditions, frailty and palliation. You will be required to have and an MSC in Advanced Clinical Practice. Candidates will also hold a non-medical prescribing qualification.
There may also be an opportunity to work with our Urgent Care colleagues to gain insight and experience in this area of care.

The current vacancy is for a full-time role working day shifts pro rata over a 7-day period.
- Registered Health Care Professional holding current registration with appropriate regulatory body.
- Postgraduate study in Advanced Clinical Practice/Autonomous Practice at Masters level
- Non-Medical Prescribing qualification
- Safeguarding-level 3 or willingness to undertake
- Teaching and assessing qualification
- Evidence of recent and on-going personal development including obvious leadership development
- Experience of education and training issues/requirements for undergraduate and post graduate members of professions.
- Extensive post registration experience in relevant settings, including experience in the management of minor illness, and long term conditions
- Demonstrates specialist knowledge of operational management, education and leadership
- Skills for analysis of service delivery and improvement planning.
- Able to demonstrate a working knowledge and experience of the governance agenda locally.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
