To bolster our efforts and continue to provide high quality, patient focussed services, we are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Discovery House and Maple Lodge teams, based in Lincoln and Boston respectively. We are looking for a doctor who is passionate and committed to the development of rehabilitation psychiatry,  who is able to support the service by providing compassionate and high-quality care.

This post will also lead on a specialist psychiatric rehabilitation pathway across Lincolnshire. 

The role is full-time at 12PAs per week and is permanent. 

We are interested in hearing from anyone who is interested in a flexible working pattern, which would include job share, compressed hours and part time working.  As the role will entail travel across the county and potential home visits, it is integral that the postholder is able to travel via car, due to limited public transport.

Main duties of the job

· Hold overall medical responsibility for patients admitted to both rehabilitation Units.

·    Provide senior psychiatric oversight to the Level 1 rehabilitation Unit

· Undertake comprehensive psychiatric assessments and formulate bio psycho-social rehabilitation plans.

·    Lead multidisciplinary rehabilitation reviews.

·  Ensure treatment plans focus on recovery, strengths, skills development and social inclusion.

·     Promote least restrictive practice and recovery-oriented care.

·  Provide Responsible Clinician duties for patients subject to the Mental Health Act.

·      Lead complex risk assessments and risk management planning.

·       Ensure robust physical health monitoring and intervention.

·       Support safe transitions along the rehabilitation pathway.

·   Provide psychiatric care and clinical leadership for patients subject to Ministry of Justice restrictions where applicable.
