Job overview
We are seeking a qualified Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner to work within Lincolnshire Talking Therapies delivering low intensity cognitive behavioural therapy interventions to individuals experiencing mild to moderate anxiety disorders and depression as part of the stepped care model. The post holder will work in the service for 37.5 hours a week over 5 days, between the hours of 8am to 8pm offering flexible appointment times to suit client need.
Main duties of the job
Accept referrals via agreed protocols within the service. This includes paper screening
Undertake assessments either face to face or by telephone
Make decisions on suitability of the service to meet patients’ needs referring to the relevant service as necessary, in conjunction with the live supervisor
Conduct risk and safeguarding assessments and take appropriate action in line with the organisation’s risk management processes and procedures.
Provide a range of information and support for evidence based low-intensity psychological treatments. This may include; guided self-help, computerised CBT, courses and workshops. This work may be face to face, telephone or via other media.
Adhere to an agreed activity contact relating to the overall number of patient contacts offered per week in order to minimise waiting times.
Keep coherent records of clinical activity.
To fully engage in clinical case management on an agreed and scheduled basis, in order to ensure safe practice.
Engage in and respond to personal development supervision to improve competences and clinical practice

Essential criteria
- Ability and willingness to travel to locations throughout the organisation
Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Post Graduate Certificate in low intervention Psychological Therapies
Desirable criteria
- Training in nursing, social work, occupational therapy, counselling or within a psychological therapy
- Psychology or other health related undergraduate degree
- Psychology or other health related postgraduate degree
Experience
Essential criteria
- Evidence of working with people who have experienced a mental health problem
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
- Demonstrates and understanding of anxiety and depression and how it may present in primary care
Desirable criteria
- Experience of working in Primary Care Services
- Worked in a service where agreed targets in place demonstrating clinical outcomes
- Ability to manage own caseload and time
- Evidence of working in the local community
Skills
Essential criteria
- Computer literate
- Ability to evaluate and put in place the effect of training
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone skills
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Able to develop good therapeutic relationships with clients
