We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Specialist SCPHN - EOTAS Lead to work within B&D. This opportunity is based in the South & West Localities.

Prif ddyletswyddau'r swydd

The Post holder will support the achievement of a continuum of education provision for pupils with complex social, emotional, communication and behavioural difficulties by provision of Specialist Public Health Practitioner provision.

The post-holder will have overall responsibility for the day-to-day management of a defined caseload of young people accessing the EOTAS programme.

The Post-holder will hold Lead Professional responsibilities for designated young people with health needs. He/she will coordinate provision of care across all disciplines in meeting these needs in determining best outcomes for Children and Young people that will optimise their best outcomes

The post holder will maintain clinical credibility and will provide clinical support to Universal teams, support/lead development of the role, appropriate clinical guidelines and managerial/child protection supervision.

The Post holder will show leadership skills and support & deputise for the Team Lead and Operational Lead. The Post-holder will provide a 70/30 ratio between Clinical duties and EOTAS duties.

The postholder will support transformation of school nursing in coproduction with the 0-19 team, service users, stakeholders and partners.

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. 

NELFT place great importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust.  All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks, including mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment.  As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes.  The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.

High Cost Area Supplement - Outer London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 p.a. pro rata for part time).

  • Post-graduate master's degree in a relevant subject area or working towards

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of managing risks and reporting and escalating concerns

Knowledge

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of EOTAS
  • Sound Knowledge of multi-agency working (children and families)
  • Sound Knowledge of legislation and policy, e.g. Children Act 1989, 2004, Data protection, and NHS Confidentiality Guidance

  • Evidence of continued professional development in safeguarding children to level 4

Skills
