Job overview

You will assist in the operational management of MHCL whilst also supporting the team clinical leads

and work pro-actively with the operational lead to ensure safe effective delivery of services and developments relevant to the teams.

 

You will be support in the safe and effective management of all operations in the teams.

You will be required to work closely with the Operations lead to develop the teams in line with commissioner requirements and Trust objectives, consulting all key stakeholders, and positively reinforcing the expectations of the organization through collaborative and dynamic management and leadership that is both supportive and encouraging in nature to enable the team to adapt to key changes smoothly.

Main duties of the job

               You will lead on improving the quality and performance of the teams through QI projects.

               Improved experience of care by effective Delivery of services to support to support service

               users, carers and partner organisations

               Improve population health outcomes by leading the team with holistic assessments

               Improve staff experiences for example; timely rota finalisation, leading team and business meetings, facilitating away days, ensuring team take annual leave as per policy.

               Improve value of service and increase efficiency

               To assist the operational manager to ensure that the physical environment is conducive to deliver a high quality of care.

               Support with audits and data collection.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

  • To maintain clinical direction and leadership; coordinating a team of clinical staff for the continuous and consistent provision of high quality mental health care to people in mental health crisis.
  • To carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care programs and the setting of standards of care for clients of the service.
  • To demonstrate within the team clinical leadership and knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions available to reduce distress for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis.
  • Act as a role model in the practice area, encouraging staff in teaching, supervision, facilitating and assessing, create and sustain a supportive/teaching/learning environment for the practice setting.
  • Be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programs of care for patients, incorporating risk assessment, to ensure safe and acceptable standards of care.
  • Be responsible for the maintenance and accurate recording of patient information in the documentation systems and to ensure the effective dissemination of patient information throughout the multi-disciplinary team.
