Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Dietitian to join our team of 16 Dietetic staff at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site, part of King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. This is a 1.0 WTE position based at the PRUH, specialising in inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will predominantly be based on the gastro ward and will also be responsible for any patients with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) throughout the hospital. They will work closely with the Band 7 Gastro-Oncology Dietitian to provide an evidence-based dietetic service for both adult inpatients and outpatients within gastroenterology, covering conditions such as IBD, liver disease and pancreatitis.
The post holder will also be responsible for two outpatient clinics each week and will work as part of our team of acute adult dietitians, providing excellent dietetic care. A new group IBD virtual clinic has recently been developed as an innovative way of providing nutritional information for this patient cohort.
There is also the option to provide clinical cover within the Nutrition Team and Critical Care depending on post holder’s skillset and preferences.
