Job overview
This is an exciting opportunity to take up a role as Principle Clinical Psychologist in the Bromley CAMHS Generic team. The post holder will work closely with the Clinical Psychology Leads and the Generic Team Manager in supporting the high-quality delivery of evidence based psychological therapy pathways and the effective functioning of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will support the use of routine outcome measures within the team. The post holder will hold supervisory responsibilities and will support the service in providing supervision to qualified clinical psychologists up to the grade of 8a as well as colleagues from other professions. The postholder will support leadership projects, contribute to service development, quality improvement and research, audit and evaluation across the service. The successful candidate will be supported with ongoing continuing professional development opportunities and relevant training as required. The post holder will hold responsibility for contributing to the continuing professional development of colleagues in the service
Main duties of the job
- To support the leadership of clinical psychology and the Generic Team in Bromley CAMHS.
- To provide specialist supervision, consultation and training to both psychology and non psychology colleagues.
- To support the provision of high-quality evidence based psychological clinical practice within the team.
- To support the routine use of outcome measures to monitor progress of interventions meaningfully within the team.
- To support the multi-disciplinary team functioning, chairing and leading within team meetings as required.
- To support the monitoring and implementation of clinical standards within the Generic Senior Leadership Team.
- To deliver highly specialist clinical assessments and interventions as a senior clinician within CAMHS, supporting on clinical pathways and service developments as required.
- To support evaluation, audit and research within the Generic Team and wider service as required.

Person specification
Education/Qualifications
Essential criteria
- Doctoral Level Training accredited by HCPC
- Completion of post qualification specialist training including training in supervision of trainee clinical psychologists
Desirable criteria
- Pre-qualification training e.g. Research Methodology/Staff training
Experience
Essential criteria
- Experience of specialist psychological assessments and treatment of clients across the full range of care settings, including outpatient, community, primary care and inpatient settings
- Experience of working with a wide variety of client groups (inc across the age range/clinical severity)
Desirable criteria
- Experience of teaching, training and/or supervision
Skills/Ability/Knowledge
Essential criteria
- High-level ability to communicate effectively
- Skills in providing consultation to others
- Doctoral level knowledge of research design and methodology, including complex multivariate data analysis as practiced within the field of clinical psychology
- Evidence of continuing professional development as recommended by the BPS
- Formal training in supervision of other psychologists
