Job overview
To achieve and maintain advance clinical knowledge scanning a wide range of examinations across two of the following modalities; CT, MR or Interventional/Fluoroscopy.
Main duties of the job
To assist the Superintendents across the chosen two modalities in maintaining high quality services across ESTH and, to assist in the planning and development of these services.
To deputise for the Superintendent in the chosen two modalities as necessary.
To maintain and deliver a training programme across the chosen two modalities.
To assist in the development, maintenance and delivery SOP’s and protocols within the chosen two
modalities.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities
Assist the Lead Superintendents in the drawing up plans for development and growth of service.
To be familiar with, and comply with all Trust and department policies, procedures, and practices.
To attend courses, lectures, and in-service training as required by the post, and to ensure personal Continuous Professional Development as well as support other radiographers to do so by sharing
knowledge.
To deputise for the Superintendent in the chosen two modalities as necessary.
To be responsible for the stock control, ordering and revenue consequences of consumable items
used by the scanning department.

Essential criteria
- Advance clinical knowledge scanning a wide range of examinations across two of the following modalities; CT, MR or Interventional/Fluoroscopy.
- Knowledge of planning and development of Radiology services
- Evidence of skills to deputise for the Superintendent in the chosen two modalities as necessary
- Evidence of previous experience in maintaining and delivering a training programme across the chosen two modalities

- Radiography Qulaification
- HCPC registration
