Job overview
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic person who is committed to improving the quality of service we deliver.
As a Quality Coordinator your role will be to manage the document control for Radiotherapy, SACT and Diagnostic imaging via Q pulse and Excel. The successful candidate will be tasked to maintain the audit plan for ISO 9001 which will include performing and writing up the audits and managing and findings raised.
The role will also include managing the quality meetings for the department, preparing reports, as well as general administrator work. There will also be an opportunity to escort external assessors around the hospital during assessment visits and coordinating the external audits.
Main duties of the job
- The post holder will be responsible for coordinating service improvement and ongoing accreditation for external quality standards covering mainly ISO9001 for Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy and Quality Standards for Imaging (QSI).
- They will provide support to the development and maintenance of a quality management systems which will include standard operating procedures, training of staff, adverse event reporting, records management, and quality assessment audits.

- Support the Quality Manager for ISO and QSI in maintaining quality standards.
- Support the development of a Programme Quality Management Plan to meet accreditation requirements, including risk management procedures, reporting of incidents and adverse events, audit programmes and the requirements for review meetings, corrective actions, documentation and reporting.
- Coordinate the development of Standard Operating Procedures to include; selection and treatment, consent, safety procedures, risk management, training, competency assessment, outcome analysis, audits, waste disposal, and disaster response.
- Support a programme of audits to fulfil the ISO and QSI Quality Management Plan. Monitor corrective actions and liaise with the clinical teams to ensure completion within agreed timescale.
- To provide secretarial support for departmental governance committees.
- To process a range of documents, including those of a confidential nature, reports, Board papers and letters using programmes such as Word and Excel. To ensure that all documents are presented in accepted Trust formats.
