Housekeeper – Band 2
Fixed Term - 12 months
We are seeking a Ward Housekeeper to join our ward team at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust. The post holder will play a key role in maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment for patients, carers and visitors.
The role involves coordinating ward services including cleaning, catering and minor maintenance, working closely with nursing staff, contractors and support services. You will monitor service quality, report any issues and take appropriate action to support patient experience.
You should have a good general education, an understanding of patient needs and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Good communication skills, flexibility and a positive approach are essential. Training will be provided.

The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust. - Educated to GCSE standard or equivalent
- Demonstrate literacy and numeracy
KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING

- Computer literate, knowledge of internet,microsoft

- Willing to undertake inhouse training
EXPERIENCE

- Previous experience of dealing with the public
- Working in a customer care setting
- Ability to work on own initiative and within a team
