Job overview
Staff Nurse - Band 5 Fixed Term/Secondment Opportunity
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust is offering an exciting 12‑month maternity leave cover opportunity for 2 x Band 5 RSCN’s to join a forward‑thinking, integrated Trust with a clear ambition to transform outcomes for children and young people across the borough as a Community Children's Nurse.
Croydon has one of London’s youngest and most diverse populations, with significant variation in health need and access to services. Our Community Children’s Nursing Team is driven by a shared purpose: to ensure children and families receive the right care, at the right time, in the right place, from the right professional. Through early intervention and proactive support, we work to prevent escalation, reduce avoidable hospital admissions and optimise health and wellbeing.
Working across homes, schools and community settings, you will be part of a service developing clear, integrated pathways across hospital, community and home, ensuring children experience seamless, joined‑up care. You will work in close partnership with primary care, acute and tertiary paediatric services, specialist nursing teams, hospices, education partners and wider professional networks, helping deliver coordinated care that works around the child and family.

Working for our organisation
Croydon Health Services NHS Trust provides hospital and community services across Croydon through a range of clinics and specialist centres. Formed in August 2010 from the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust, we employ around 4,100 staff serving a diverse population of over 360,000 people.
