Are you looking for a role that’s both rewarding and varied? As a Healthcare Support Worker, you’ll be at the heart of patient care, providing essential support with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, mealtimes, toileting, and vital observations including temperature, pulse, and respiration checks.

Your contribution will be key to helping patients recover and ensuring they receive the highest standard of care and compassion throughout their journey.

Note induction times for the first 2 weeks (Monday – Friday) are 08:00 – 16:00

The Trust was formed on 1st August 2010 through the integration of Croydon Community Health Services and Mayday Healthcare NHS Trust. Person specification

Knowledge

Essential criteria
  • Evidence of general education e.g. Functional skills level 2, equivalent to GCSE 4/ Grade C or equivalent
  • Vocational qualification level 3 or equivalent relevant experience
Desirable criteria
  • Completion of Care Certificate

Experience

Essential criteria
  • Experience in carrying out assigned duties/assisting qualified staff after training
  • Working in a team
  • Working in a Health Care or related setting
  • Good standard of written and spoken English

Skills and Abilities

Essential criteria
  • Demonstrates understanding of privacy and dignity in patient care
  • Able to assist with essential care for patients as directed
  • Able to use or learn to use a computer to record information
  • Able to record routine observations after training
  • Demonstrates compassion for patients
